Made in the buyer’s region
Orders to the US, Canada, the UK and Australia ship domestically. EU orders ship within the single market, with no customs at the door.
Your MakerWorld campaign sells the file. 3DAPI sells the printed copy: made at the production center nearest each buyer, at a price you set, through one API.
Your campaign, plus prints
MakerWorld crowdfunding is Bambu Lab's way for designers to get paid for a model before it is finished. Backers fund the design and receive the files. A backer who wants the object on their shelf still needs someone to print it and post it.
Reviewed October 2026. MakerWorld sets and changes its own rules; check them before you plan rewards. 3DAPI is not affiliated with MakerWorld or Bambu Lab.
Upload the same file your backers get, in .stl, .3mf, .obj, .step or .stp format, and get its production price.
In checkout mode you choose what a printed copy costs. Your buyer pays it, plus shipping, on a hosted checkout.
Every order is printed at the production center nearest the buyer, checked and shipped with tracking.
When the order is completed, your price less the production price and the card fee lands in your wallet.

Most crowdfunding fulfillment starts with a pallet of finished products shipped to one warehouse. A 3D printed reward can start as a file instead: each copy is printed when its order arrives, in the region of the person who ordered it.
Orders to the US, Canada, the UK and Australia ship domestically. EU orders ship within the single market, with no customs at the door.
Quote the model for its production price and look up shipping by country, so the reward tiers you announce cover the real cost.
Pick a material for each extruder slot, in slot order, from the PLA and PETG catalog when you place the order.
The same flow works for Kickstarter or any other campaign: orders come from the API, so the platform that took the pledges does not matter. See where we ship and the shipping rates.
Your own designs are the simple case. A generator or a remix is only yours to sell as a print if its license allows it, and on MakerWorld that license is set model by model. Licensed characters need the license holder's permission. More on what you can sell.
As of October 2026, MakerWorld crowdfunding rewards are digital, and physical rewards and logistics are outside the program. You can still sell printed copies of your model separately, for example with a 3DAPI checkout link per buyer.
Create an order per backer with their address. We print it at the production center nearest them, so a backer in Germany gets a parcel made in Europe and a backer in the US gets one made in North America.
The production price from the quote, plus shipping by destination and volumetric weight. In checkout mode your buyer pays your price and shipping, and you keep the margin; in wallet mode you pay the production price and shipping yourself.
Yes, once. Send 10 ready quotes for review. After approval, every new model you quote can be ordered without another review.
Only if its license allows selling prints, and the rules differ from model to model. Selling prints of your own designs is the simple case.
Yes. Orders come from the API, so the campaign platform does not matter. Use it for any campaign whose rewards are 3D printable in PLA or PETG.
Yes. Each order item takes one material per extruder slot, in slot order, chosen from our PLA and PETG catalog.
